So last Saturday I've attempted to attend a show of
The Apples' in Tel Aviv. Usually I greatly succeed at attending shows as the process of doing so requires very few things: transportation and currency. This time even though I had both and preordered a ticket, I was still unable to enter the show! At some point the line was abruptly cut and a semi-authoritative female of the production crew claimed "Anyone who doesn't have a ticket can't enter". I suppose she didn't see the fault in her logic, seeing as how all of us were standing in line to actually BUY a ticket. Further talk with her revealed that "You may enter, but if it's crowded in there and you can't see or hear anything it's your responsibility". I don't quite see how that might be my responsibility. Did I choose the venue or the faulty ticket selling system? I think not. I walked away feeling much contempt.
The bright side though was that right outside the line was, Hoodska Explosive, playing for the pleasure of the people futily freezing their ass off in line. Since the they play something that closely resembles The Apples, at least I got to hear some band that evening.
There was also a guy there dressed in a lion costume and flip flops - but I have nothing further to say about him.
