- Personal bio:
- Shir Deutch, lead vocalist and main songwriter for Solstice Coil, started taking an interest in art at a very early age. He began writing short stories at the age of six, despite the fact he rarely invested himself in reading the works of others, and sang in the school choir at the age of nine.
He started taking guitar lessons at the age of fourteen, which was immediately followed by practicing the art of songwriting. It took a few years, but since there were no suitable musicians in his immediate surrounding, Shir turned to the internet to find the people that would eventually form Solstice Coil.
In addition to his work in Solstice Coil, Shir played bass guitar in "The Sagi Zvi Ensemble" and "The Grip, which he also produced. In 2006 he launched a solo project with songs in Hebrew, revealing a a more personal side of his creation. His album "Ze Lo Holech Likrot" (It's Not Going to Happen) was released in Early 2011.
Today Shir operates a home studio and produces young songwriters, helping them find their musical course. - E-mail:
