- Opher first embarked on his musical journey at the age of fifteen, when he got a classical Spanish guitar for his birthday. This hobby, which soon became an obsession, finally enabled him to take formerly written lyrics and stories and weave them into musical patterns. Not long after he found himself playing with various bands until he met up with Shir, planting the seeds which will later blossom to become Solstice Coil. Complementing his interest in graphics and design, the arts became an integral part of his life entwined in all that he does. Opher takes pride in being able to use both hemispheres of his brain. Like former artists of renaissance times, he combines his passion for the aural and visual arts with a delicate and a rational approach to life.
